A timeline is easier to use when the next action appears in the calendar you already check. FanWindow exports all deadlines as one .ics file. That file is a snapshot of the schedule at the moment you download it. It is not a subscription or a promise that your device will alert you.
What is in the file?
Each deadline becomes a one-minute event at its exact UTC instant. That short duration marks a point in time, not the length of a sale or performance. Event titles include the deadline and timeline name. Notes include the source zone, snapshot creation time, source link if supplied, and a warning that changes do not sync.
You can request a reminder 10 minutes, one hour, or one day before each deadline, or export without reminders. The file contains those requests using the iCalendar standard. The receiving app decides how it imports and handles them.
Import, then inspect
Download the file and open or import it in your calendar app. For Google Calendar, its official import instructions describe using the desktop website’s Settings → Import & Export menu and choosing an .ics file. Other apps and mobile platforms use different flows.
After importing, inspect at least one event near midnight and any event around a clock change. Check the local date, time, destination calendar, and reminder settings. Make sure the calendar is visible and your device allows its notifications. Consider a separate calendar for fan events so they remain easy to review.
What if the organizer changes the schedule?
The old link does not update. The old file does not update. The organizer needs to create a new snapshot and send the new link. Compare it with the official notice, then review or replace the affected calendar entries yourself. Importing again may update or duplicate entries depending on the calendar app; do not assume every app handles repeat imports in the same way.
FanWindow keeps a snapshot creation timestamp visible on the shared page. Include that date when announcing a revision in a group chat. A clear message such as “Updated verification cutoff; use the new link” is more useful than reposting an unlabeled image.
Keep a backup that matches the stakes
For a high-demand sale, one reminder may not be enough. Verify account access before the day, check the official seller for queue instructions, and use a separate device alarm if that suits your routine. FanWindow sends no push notifications, emails, or SMS. A checked box records your own preparation; it does not prove that a seller has verified you.
